Ingredients
1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dairy-free semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup gluten-free old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup egg substitute
1 stick dairy-free butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

1. Gift Jar: Into 1-quart (32-ounce) wide-mouth glass jar, layer all ingredients in the order listed, packing as necessary. Seal jar; add festive decorations and a label

 

2. Write the following baking directions on an index card and attach to the gift jar. Baking Directions: Preheat oven to 350°. In large microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup (1 stick) dairy-free butter in microwave oven on high 1 minute or until melted, stirring every 30 seconds. Add 1/4 cup egg substitute and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; with whisk, stir until well blended. Add contents of jar; stir until dough is moist and well blended. Drop dough by rounded measuring tablespoons, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 13 minutes or until edges are set and bottoms brown. Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies
